New Beginnings

Its already been an exciting start to the New Year with the fourth of our foals being born. The latest addition is Nathalie a dressage foal by the young extremely well bred stallion MSJ Nemo out of Je T’aime R (Jive Magic x Regardez Moi). Nathalie promises to be a future dressage champion and will hopefully find an amazing partner to take her to the top.

Nathalie is on the look out for her future home already and if anyone is interested please get in contact with me (0447008470).

Nathalie being born isn’t the only exciting thing to have happened so far this year, I have two new Eventers to add to my little team with Guy Wallace’s Phantom Hideaway (Heidi) coming from WA over to NSW for me to campaign and Geoff and Tracey Stokes’ stock horse stallion Springs Black Jack here to learn the ropes of Eventing. Giselle is schooling better than ever and came home with Elementary point score champion for both the local dressage clubs last year and is hopefully eyeing off her firs 3* start sometime this year. Belle is becoming a mother (fingers crossed) and hopefully the time off may resolve her injury which took her off the competition scene last year otherwise she may have to get used to being a mother!

At the first dressage competition of the year Jack and Heidi were tested out to see how competition life with them is going to be. Both of them behaved brilliantly and were definitely competition compatible with Heidi coming home with two wins (1.2 and 2.1) and Jack getting a 3rd and a 2nd (1.1 and 1.2). Its an exciting way to start the year and hopefully we can just keep growing on these results.

The prep for the first event at Sydney on the 17th and 18th is under way with Giselle doing some fitness training down on the cross country course today. I never thought I would say this but I am looking forward to when it cools down a bit, the weather (+40C days) makes trying to get horses fit almost impossible!

I am getting excited for the Eventing season to get under way and see how our work over summer has paid off! Good luck to everyone for this up and coming season!
